Live outdoor public artwork, in collaboration with Tarsila Schubert, commissioned by Red Bull & The Domino. Ten hour long performance of Rangoli, traditional Indian folk art made with coloured sand, in Deira, Dubai, on Diwali, the Hindu New Year.
Fat Guy Made Outta Junk
A sound-sculpture of an Emperor-With-No-Clothes, named after Ubu Roi, made out of found objects & discarded materials, built live over three days, at Box Park, Dubai. Fat Guy included a microphone positioned in the public walkway which invited viewers to talk into it. The distorted, shrill, filtered sound would emerge out of a speaker, installed in his buttocks .
My Heart Belongs to Daddy
Commissioned by Philips, along with several other artists, each working in different disciplines, to create a work of sound. This work was inspired by the sound of the razors, creating a song that is "played" with 6 razors, each set at a different pitch, looped to create layers of melodies.
Whistle While You Work
A live painting, created over the 2 day street art festival in Al Quoz, Street Nights Fest, 2015. Based in the industrial zone of Al Quoz, an area densely populated with UAE migrant workers, this piece speaks to the absurdity of the current public dialogue surrounding labour conditions.
Three rotating boxes stacked upon each other, each side with a different character, so that new characters can be created by passers-by. Installed in outdoor street area at Al Ghurair Centre, Deira, Dubai.
